Mehlville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in south St. Louis County, Missouri, United States, an area locally known as "South County". It is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis , and part of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area .

Mehlville High School was first established in 1925 after parents demanded local secondary education for their children. Previously, teens in the Mehlville-Oakville area had to commute to Hancock Place or Kirkwood. [4] The school was first housed at the old St. John's School on Will Avenue, across the street from the school's current site. [4]
