Brackenfell High School (Afrikaans: Hoërskool Brackenfell) is a public, co-educational high school in Brackenfell, Western Cape, South Africa. It was established on 26 January 1976 on a 1-acre (0.40 ha) plot of land donated by Janet Brink, the widow of Andries Brink .
The region extends from Goodwood in the west to Kraaifontein, Brackenfell and Kuilsrivier in the east and north up to incorporate the rural village of Philadelphia. [2] [3]The principal town is Bellville to the south of the Tygerberg Hills, which as of 2011 has a population of 112,507.

As remembrance to this event a street was named Tulbagh. This street, together with Vredekloof Street in Vredekloof, Brackenfell, is known for the bird Cape robin-chat commonly known as Jan Frederik.
