  2. Continuously variable slope delta modulation - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuously_variable...

Continuously variable slope delta modulation (CVSD or CVSDM) is a voice coding method. It is a delta modulation with variable step size (i.e., special case of adaptive delta modulation), first proposed by Greefkes and Riemens in 1970. CVSD encodes at 1 bit per sample, so that audio sampled at 16 kHz is encoded at 16 kbit/s.

  3. Dirac delta function - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirac_delta_function

It is called the delta function because it is a continuous analogue of the Kronecker delta function, which is usually defined on a discrete domain and takes values 0 and 1. The mathematical rigor of the delta function was disputed until Laurent Schwartz developed the theory of distributions, where it is defined as a linear form acting on functions.

  6. Delta update - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_update

A descendant of Debian, Ubuntu developers have tried many times to implement delta updates for their system. During 2006 they tried to create one, but were confronted with too many options and dropped the efforts. [7] In 2011 they tried to just set up debdelta, but once again dropped the efforts in May of the same year. [8]

  7. Delta encoding - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_encoding

A delta can be defined in 2 ways, symmetric delta and directed delta.A symmetric delta can be expressed as (,) = (),where and represent two versions.. A directed delta, also called a change, is a sequence of (elementary) change operations which, when applied to one version , yields another version (note the correspondence to transaction logs in databases).

  8. 2D plus Delta - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2D_plus_Delta

This technology originally started as a proprietary method for Stereoscopic Video Coding and content deployment that utilizes the left or right channel as the 2D version and the optimized difference or disparity (Delta) between that image channel view and a second eye image view is injected into the video stream as user data, secondary stream ...

  9. Delta (emulator) - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_(emulator)

Riley Testut started developing GBA4iOS, the predecessor of Delta, during his senior year at Richardson High School along with his friend Paul Thorsen. [4] [5] It was a emulator of the Game Boy Advance for the iPhone. iOS users had to sideload the emulator via a loophole called the "Date Trick", where the app is allowed to be downloaded and installed via the Safari browser, without needing to ...
