The 1962 Wittenberg Tigers football team was an American football team that represented Wittenberg University in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 1962 NCAA College Division football season. In their eighth year under head coach Bill Edwards, the Tigers compiled a perfect 9–0 record and won the OAC championship.
Wittenberg struggled in its opening game against Baldwin–Wallace. The Tigers trailed, 26–14, with 3:13 remaining in the game. The previous home of the Tar Heels was a multi-use venue called Emerson Field, which sat some 2,400 people. The combination baseball/football field was opened in 1916 on the site of the existing athletic field (ca. 1900) and named for a university benefactor, Captain Isaac E. Emerson , best known as the inventor of Bromo-Seltzer .
