Valvoline is a quality oil. The Advanced synthetic 5w20 is a stout 20wt with an HTHS of 2.7 and a respectable noack value of only 7.6%
Valvoline R&P is designed to clean at a slower pace over regular oil change intervals to not clog the oil filter resulting in it bypassing, this is something that they had to keep in mind while coming up with this product as it is a "mainstream" off the shelf licensed product.
For users of Valvoline Synthetic 5W30 Advanced - what are your impressions to date ? The only two things that may appear to be "average" with the oil are : 1) NOACK is not the lowest but still meets GM D1/Gen2 specs ( 5K OCI's in everything I own now , so may standardize across the board with...
Motorcraft MERCON LV vs Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle ATF Motorcraft MERCON LV is getting harder to find in my area and it is more expensive. Valvoline Professional Series Manual Transmission Fluid is IDENTICAL to Valvoline Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid, which appears to be available through a number of chain auto parts stores. Same product two different names very confusing and strange marketing to say the least.

When the Vectra arrived in the 50k kilometers I used the Valvoline Full Syntetich Dexron VI, it worked perfectly. My doubt is. The Vectra is almost 100km. The best options I have here in Brazil are the Valvoline Full Syntetich Dexron VI and the Valvoline MaxLife ATF, which is also full Syntetich. Other brands with Mobil and etc are all Synblend.
