Kingdom University obtained its license in 2001, though it started student intake only in 2004 on a temporary campus that was located in Manama. In July 2013, the university moved to its new permanent campus in Riffa (Al-Hajiyat), Bahrain .

The college's campus is in the neighborhood of Salmaniya, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. It is located within the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), together with the Arabian Gulf University and Salmaniya Hospital. [3] The campus includes an administration and student affairs building, and multiple nursing and laboratory blocks.
Broadly speaking, the facility is devoted to student recreation and socialization. A student center or student union is the community center of the college, serving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. A student activity center might offer a variety of programs, activities, services, and facilities. [15]
