sorry about your mechanical issue, and problem with RR. Keep in mind with all these roadside assistance programs, they have a "network" of service providers they can call, but sometimes they cant or wont be able to provide service. im guessing the company you called was not in their network.
Recently, my Good Sam roadside assistance was due for renewal. My only experience in 7 years with GS was a flat tire at a Walmart Store in Charlotte NC,. First words from GS rep when I called was, please give me a credit card number for billing.

The concierge services that many companies add on to the roadside service adds price to the policy, but little value for the member. Also, limited use (2 or 3 calls a year) and limits on towing make programs less attractive. I have made contact with a few emergency roadside service providers.
Have been looking at all Roadside programs. I have some coverage on my Allstate policy. But I pay up front for the service and Allstate will pay me back upon receiving my invoice.AAA has started coverage for Roadside service cost me $5.00 to add my Sea Breeze pay on CC each year save $5.00. Looking at FMCA for 69.00 and Coach Net for 249.00.

FMCA price is much better but I have seen bad reviews. Have not needed roadside assistance in the ten years with Good Sam. I have to decide soon.
