Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo (known as Baron Mordo) is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly as an adversary of Doctor Strange. The character was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko , and first appeared in Strange Tales #111 (August 1963).
In this episode, he orders Baron Mordo to steal the Wand of Watoomb to free him so he can enter this dimension and feed on the souls of New Yorkers. Dormammu is stopped by the combined efforts of Spider-Man and Dr. Strange. Dormammu and Mordo appear again in the episodes "Venom Returns" and "Carnage".
Baron Mordo and Dormammu help Eddie Brock's insane cell-mate Cletus Kasady bond with another symbiote, who later dubs himself Carnage. Carnage then assists Venom in his task to retrieve the technology from Stark Enterprises, though when Carnage attempts to destroy Spider-Man, Venom attacks him, telling him that Spider-Man is his and his alone.
