Byrnes Mill is a city in northern Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 3,173 at the 2020 census. [4] History.
At the city limits of St. Louis, it continues into the suburban area (unincorporated). Shortly before reaching Grantwood Village is the northern terminus with Route 21. About two miles (3.2 km) further west is the intersection with Lindbergh Boulevard (U.S. 50 / U.S. 61 / U.S. 67) and the road becomes a four-lane divided highway.

According to the National Weather Service, the maximum flood stage of the Big River at Byrnes Mill occurred on August 21, 1915, and was 30.20 feet (9.20 m), with a flow of roughly 80,000 cubic feet (2,300 m 3) per second. Flood stage at Byrnes Mill is 16 feet (4.9 m).
It is located just off Route 30, at the intersection with Routes MM and W near Byrnes Mill. A post office has been in operation at House Springs since 1833. [2] The community is named after Adam House, who settled there ca. 1795, and who was killed near a spring by Native Americans. [3]
Cedar Hill is located 32 miles (51 km) southwest of downtown St. Louis. Missouri Route 30, a four-lane highway, runs through the western side of the CDP, leading northeast into St. Louis and west 22 miles (35 km) to St. Clair.
Missouri's third congressional district is in the eastern and central portion of the state. It stretches from the southern part of Columbia (including the University of Missouri) and the state capital of Jefferson City in the west to St. Charles County (including the large suburbs of St. Charles, St. Peters and Wentzville) and western Jefferson County in the east.
