Wikipedia is consistently in the top of Google searches, so making stubs also helps attract other editors who are familiar with that topic. A list of all stub categories, ordered by size, is at WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub type sizes. From July 22-24, 2024, stub types were finished being de-transcluded from this master page. A new all stub type page was created with everything transcluded, and subpages were reformatted to conform to that embedding.
These categories contain articles that need improvement. Pick your specialty and begin writing! Sorted lists of stub category types are available at: Stub types. Help organize stubs or better yet, expand them and remove the stub templates. If you're very interested in stub-sorting, consider joining the Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting group.
A full list can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/List of stubs. More than one stub template may be used, if necessary, though no more than four should be used on any article. Place a stub template at the very end of the article, after the "External links" section, any navigation templates, and the category tags.
There is a list of articles with redlinked stub templates at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/missing stubs. In many cases the templates that should be on the articles have been added to the list. Some of these redlinks are simply spelling mistakes, others are vandalism, but most involve templates which are too finely-grained to yet exist.
