The list of episodes is long enough that IMHO it is better to keep them separate. But you're right about the update issue: it doesn't make sense to have to update both articles. After the changes I just made, in the future, only List of In Our Time programmes will need to be updated as to what the last programme was.
The data is taken from two sources: information from BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds pages (referred to as “Programme Information Platform or PIP's”) and data from BBC Genome. There are millions of listings on the BBC's Programme Index. Some will link through to programmes you can watch and listen but most of the listings remain text-only.

Melvyn Bragg, Baron Bragg (born 6 October 1939) is an English broadcaster, author and parliamentarian. [2] He is the editor and presenter of The South Bank Show (1978–2010, 2012–2023), and the presenter of the BBC Radio 4 documentary series In Our Time.
