Interleukin 33 (IL-33) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-1 superfamily. IL-33 induces helper T cells, mast cells, eosinophils and basophils to produce type 2 cytokines. This cytokine was previously named NF-HEV 'nuclear factor (NF) in high endothelial venules' (HEVs) since it was originally identified in these specialized cells. [9]
Interleukin 10 (IL-10) is a protein that inhibits the synthesis of a number of cytokines, including IFN-gamma, IL-2, IL-3, TNF, and GM-CSF produced by activated macrophages and by helper T cells. In structure, IL-10 is a protein of about 160 amino acids that contains four conserved cysteines involved in disulphide bonds. [ 33 ]
The effector cytokine which is secreted from IL-33- and STAT5 activator-stimulated Th2 cells is IL-13, which is NF-κB dependent. IL-13 is very similar to IL-4 in amino acid sequence and structure. They also used the same type II IL-4 receptor to activate STAT6. [38] Similar functions have IL-1 to Th17 cells and IL-18 to Th1 lymphocytes.

Alarmin IL-33 is constitutively expressed as a nuclear protein in all epithelial and endothelial cells, but also in secondary lymphoid organs. The biological and immunological function of this cytokine is mainly used in intestines, skin or lung epithelial tissues. [10]
The woman accused of stabbing a postal worker to death over a spot in line at a Harlem deli has a long history of knife violence — and once threatened “to cut” one of her previous victims.
