María de Montserrat Bibiana Concepción Caballé i Folch [2] [3] or Folc [4] [5] [a] (12 April 1933 – 6 October 2018), known simply as Montserrat Caballé (i Folch), [b] was a Spanish operatic soprano from Catalonia.
Martí was born as Montserrat Martí Caballé in Barcelona on 15 November 1971 to Montserrat Caballé and Bernabé Martí. She made her first appearance as a singer in 1993, singing with her mother in London. Following that, the mother and daughter sang together on a few occasions both on stage and on recordings. The B-side of nearly all records contained "Exercises in Free Love" from The Freddie Mercury Album. The 1992 version of the 7" Spanish record had another version of "Barcelona" on the B-side, and the rare 1987 12" Hong Kong record was one-sided and had a unique sleeve.
Mercury and Moran made and sent her tapes of the music with Mercury singing in falsetto as a guide vocal for Montserrat's parts. As they rarely had an opening in their schedule to meet, her parts were recorded at another location. [5] A special edition of the album was released on 3 September 2012.
In 2013, Montserrat Caballé visited many of these churches as homage to the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity. This collection, in its turn, is an act of homage to the great soprano for her anniversary on the part of the Armenian nation, a sign of profound admiration and gratitude.
A famous performance of Lucrezia Borgia presented by the American Opera Society Ensemble in 1965 at Carnegie Hall with soprano Montserrat Caballé, who was making her American debut, was soon followed by a recording featuring Caballé, Shirley Verrett, Alfredo Kraus, and Ezio Flagello, conducted by Jonel Perlea, who also led the Carnegie Hall performance.

On 14 August 1964 he married the soprano Montserrat Caballé at Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey. They had met earlier that year when on short notice he replaced an ailing tenor for performances of Madama Butterfly in Corunna. Martí and Caballé later sang together many times. They had a son and a daughter, Montserrat who also a singer.
