Ram's lifted and fortified 2500 Power Wagon is still the king of off-road heavy-duty pickups.
The Power Wagon is equipped with approximately 2" lift over the standard Ram 2500 and is equipped with softer rate springs for off-road performance. Unique to the Power Wagon 3-link front suspension is the "Articulink" front radius arms, which add an extra link and rubber bushing, enabling additional axle articulation.
However, the 10.5" 14-bolt axle remains in production today, specifically utilized in GMC Savana and Chevrolet Express vans. Notably, the 11.5" 14-bolt axle is featured in third-generation Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. There are discernible differences between the GM and Ram versions, evident in the gaskets used and the axle cover designs.
