Enhypen (Korean: 엔하이픈; RR: Enhaipeun; Japanese: エンハイプン, romanized: Enhaipun; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab. Formerly a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation , [ 4 ] the group was formed through the 2020 survival competition show I-Land .
On March 25, 2021, Belift Lab announced that Enhypen would make their comeback at the end of April. [2] A trailer titled "Intro : The Invitation" was released on April 5, announcing that their second extended play Border: Carnival. [3] On April 8, it was announced that the album pre-orders had surpassed 370,000 copies in three days. [4]
The music video for "Brought the Heat Back" finds Enhypen back with a comedic take on their vampire concept, in contrast to their usual darker visuals, with a loose plotline about chasing a cat that has somehow transformed into a coffin. The boy band get knocked down by cars, trapped in elevators, and attacked by flying fish. [10]
On June 16, the logo teaser for Enhypen's second studio album Romance: Untold was released, with pre-orders starting the next day. [1] On June 20, two concept cinema posters for the album were posted on the group's official social media accounts, teasing the release of a short film on June 22 in collaboration with director Lee Chung-hyun. The South Korean boy band Enhypen debuted in 2020, and since then have embarked on three concert tours and four fan meetings. Their tours have included venues in their home country of South Korea, alongside stops in members Jay and Ni-Ki's home countries of the United States and Japan, respectively.
