The Volkswagen EA211 engine (EA = development order), also called modular gasoline engine kit, is a family of inline-three and inline-four petrol engines with variable valve timing developed by Volkswagen Group in 2011. In mid-December 2016, Volkswagen presented the Up GTI. It is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI petrol engine, which produces 115 PS (113 bhp; 85 kW). Its top speed is 192 km/h (119 mph) and it is capable of accelerating 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 8.8 seconds with a top speed of 196 km/h (122 mph).
In May 2018, Volkswagen discontinued the Polo Notch in the Philippines. It was replaced by the Volkswagen Santana.
