West Grey is a municipality in the northern area of Southwestern Ontario, Canada, in Grey County spanning across the River Styx, the Rocky Saugeen River, the Beatty Saugeen River, and the South Saugeen River.
The river heads west, over Holstein Dam at the community of Holstein, and under Ontario Highway 6 south of the community of Orchardville. Teeswater is located on the Teeswater River, a tributary of the Saugeen River. Surveyors named the river after the River Tees in England and the settlement was named for the river. The post office dates from 1855. [2] The first settlers, mainly English and Scottish, arrived in 1856.
