Regarding Wikipedia’s dark mode feature on the website settings. This feature would be more effective at preventing eye strain if dark mode also changed the colour palette used for hyper-links, banners and headlines. Blue rich colours should be avoided in dark mode.

(WMF): With Vector, and "use legacy vector" selected, the left navigation area (just below the Wikipedia logo) as well as the entire bottom section (where the privacy policy, about wikipedia, disclaimers and so are contained) still have white-ish backgrounds (but the text appears to switch to colors designed to be on black/dark).
To my understanding, this is why we haven't seen an official dark mode get deployed. My extension uses CSS filters to invert the colors and rotate them for readability, which is seemingly the only feasible solution (as opposed to chasing down every template ever made and overriding its CSS).
