Big Mom informs Luffy that she found the Tamate Box among the treasure Luffy left her at Fishman Island and plans to open it at the wedding. Big Mom asks Nami about Lola and is enraged to hear that she still considers Big Mom part of her family despite refusing a politically-motivated marriage and running away.
The crew reunites with Jimbei, revealed to be indebted to Big Mom but intent on defecting to Luffy's crew. They ally with Capone Bege to assassinate Big Mom at the wedding, though the plan goes awry. As the crew attempts to escape, Luffy defeats her general Charlotte Katakuri, discovering an advanced application of Observation Haki in the process.
Luffy learned that the remaining Whitebeard Pirates went missing after suffering an overwhelming defeat by Blackbeard a year ago. Kin'emon plans to go back Wano and help their allies with Law's help to sneak back into the country. Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Brook decide to set sail to rescue Sanji and take Big Mom's Road Ponegliff.
Zoro tells Luffy to find a way out, as they try to outrun the Marines. At that point, Sanji's group is attacked by what appears to be a singing ship, which belongs to Big Mom. On the ship are Tamago and Pekoms, who reveal that their goal is Caesar Clown. Caesar believes they want to kill him because he stole research funds from Big Mom.
Right after Big Mom regains her memories, she suddenly falls asleep. Queen quickly orders his men to restrain Big Mom and escorts her to Onigashima. With both Queen and Big Mom away, Luffy continues practicing with advanced Armament Haki. Babanuki then orders the prisoners to subdue Luffy, and they comply out of fear.
Luffy responds by acknowledging that such kindness is the heart of Sanji's character. Together they manage to save Sanji's family and escape Big Mom, earning bounty increases. Sanji is pleased that his bounty exceed's Zoro's, but angered at the inclusion of his surname in the poster. [7]
