The Amalfi Drive, connecting Sorrento and Amalfi, is a narrow road along the high cliffs above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Ferries and hydrofoils connect the town to Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Ischia. Limoncello, a digestif made from lemon rinds, alcohol, water and sugar, is produced in Sorrento along with citrus fruit, wine, nuts and olives. [4]
A journey along the entirety of the longest route, the 47 km (29 mi) from Naples to Sorrento, takes about one hour. On 27 December 2012 the original company was absorbed by the Ente Autonomo Volturno. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the network was used by 25 million passengers annually. [1]

The port of Naples runs several ferry, hydrofoil, and SWATH catamaran lines to Capri, Ischia and Sorrento, Salerno, Positano and Amalfi.
