Torrey is located on the north bank of the Fremont River between Boulder Mountain to the southwest and Capitol Reef National Park to the east. Teasdale is approximately three miles to the southwest, Grover is about five miles to the southeast and Bicknell is about 6 mi (10 km) to the northwest.
It is the largest and deepest lake on Boulder Mountain and was created as a reservoir in the early 1900s. Blind Lake holds rainbow trout, brook trout, arctic grayling, splake and cutthroat trout. [2] The nearest town is Torrey, 10 miles to the north (16 km). A larger community, Richfield, is 75 miles to the west.
It then proceeds north through more of GS-ENM, Boulder, the Aquarius Plateau, and Grover, ending in Torrey at an intersection with SR-24, five miles (8 km) west of Capitol Reef National Park. The 30-mile (48 km) long portion of the highway that ascends and descends Boulder Mountain on the Aquarius Plateau is known as Boulder Mountain Highway.
Thousand Lake Mountain is surrounded by several small towns (Loa, Lyman, Fremont, Bicknell, Teasdale, and Torrey). The areas on and around Thousand Lake Mountain are used for farming, camping, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. Thousand Lake Mountain is located in the easternmost section of Fishlake National Forest.
It is located in Boulder, Utah, at the edge of 11,000-foot-tall (3,400 m) Boulder Mountain. [4] The park is focused around the reconstructed ruins of an ancient Anasazi village, referred to as the Coombs Village Site, which is located directly behind the museum.
Boulder Mountain (11,328 feet (3,452.8 m)) on the Aquarius Plateau. The Aquarius Plateau is a physiographic region in the High Plateaus Section of the Colorado Plateau Province. It is located within Garfield and Wayne counties in south-central Utah.
It is situated at an altitude of 7,125 feet (2,172 m) above sea level, in the Rabbit Valley in south-central Utah. The Fremont River flows through the valley, which lies between 11,305-foot (3,446 m) Thousand Lake Mountain to the north and 11,317-foot (3,449 m) Boulder Mountain to the south.
