The BMW M6 GTLM is an endurance grand tourer (GT) car constructed by the German automobile manufacturer BMW. The car was announced to be under development, through a press release in October 2015, following the announcement and unveiling of the BMW M6 GT3 , [ 3 ] although few of the car's technical specifications were revealed. [ 4 ]
The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a break from 1990 to 2004).. Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations.
In the 1990s, Sri Lanka Railways converted the 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge Kelani Valley line into 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge. This was the last narrow gauge line left in Sri Lanka, and its conversion to broad gauge put the fleet of narrow gauge locomotives out of use. All operational locomotives in the country today are broad gauge.
The M6 is powered by the 5.0-litre naturally aspirated S85 V10 shared with the E60 M5, generating 373 kW (500 hp) at 7,750 rpm [26] and 520 N⋅m (384 lb⋅ft) at 6,100 rpm. [18] [19] [20] The wheelbase of the Gran Coupé is 117 mm (4.6 in) longer than the F13 coupé, [21] and the same length as the BMW F10 5 Series. Compared with the F13 coupé, the body is 112 mm (4.4 in) longer, and 23 mm (0.9 in) taller. [22]
