John Woodland "Jack" Welch (born 1946) is a scholar of law and religion. Welch is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently teaches at the J. Reuben Clark Law School (JRCLS) at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, where he is the Robert K. Thomas University Professor of Law.
After returning and redshirting in 1997, Sitake was a three-year starter at fullback for BYU from 1998 to 2000 under hall of fame coach LaVell Edwards. He was named BYU's Football Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1998, helped BYU to the first Mountain West Conference championship in 1999, and earned BYU's Impact Player of the Year in 1999.
Eli met his wife, Jennifer Anderson, at church while at BYU, and they married in July 1992. They now have seven children. He is now a school teacher and assistant football coach at Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah. His parents are David and Lynn Herring. Herring's younger brother, Isaac, also played on BYU's offensive line from 1999 to 2002.
The BYU Cougars college football team represents Brigham Young University (BYU) in the Big 12 Conference (Big 12). The Cougars competes as part of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. Kenneth Va'a Niumatalolo (born May 8, 1965) is an American college football coach and former player who is the head coach of San Jose State. He was the head coach of the Naval Academy from 2007 to 2022, accumulating the most wins in program history. Niumatalolo played college football at the University of Hawaii.
