Mill Creek is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Texas, United States. [1] According to the Handbook of Texas , the community had a population of 40 in 2000. It is located within the Greater Houston metropolitan area.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1982. Today, it is the home of the San Jacinto County Historical Commission and is next to Old Town Coldspring, a recreation of some of the settlement's oldest buildings.
