Pennsylvania Route 896 (PA 896) is a north–south state highway located in the counties of Chester and Lancaster in southeastern Pennsylvania. The southern terminus is at the Maryland state line just south of Strickersville in London Britain Township .
The building at 33 East Main Street, now known as the Limestone Inn, was built in 1786. It was the home of Strasburg's first chief burgess (mayor) and served as the first post office beginning in 1805. As many as fifty students from the Strasburg Academy boarded in the house from 1839 to 1860. [3]

Ronks is a small unincorporated farming community and census-designated place (CDP) in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States, just west of Paradise. [4] As of the 2010 census the population was 362. [5] The community is the home of Ronks Concrete Company and has a large Amish and Mennonite population.
The area that became Lancaster County was part of William Penn's 1681 charter. [8] John Kennerly received the first recorded deed from Penn in 1691. [9] Although Matthias Kreider was said to have been in the area as early as 1691, there is no evidence that any Europeans settled in Lancaster County before 1710.
