Appaloosa (2005) is a novel set in the American Old West written by Robert B. Parker. [1] A film of the same name based on the novel was released in 2008. [ 2 ] Parker published a sequel, Resolution , in June 2008, and a third novel featured the characters of Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch, Brimstone , in May 2009. [ 3 ]
Appaloosa is a band composed of lyricist/vocalist Anne-Laure Keib and musician Max Krefeld. The pair met when Anne-Laure left her native Paris to spend time in Berlin, and together they formed Appaloosa there in June 2006. [Ref 1] Keib writes the lyrics and serves as the band's vocalist and front-woman.
Based on the 1963 book by Robert MacLeod, [2] the title character is a beautiful horse (a breed, the Appaloosa) belonging to Matt Fletcher (Marlon Brando), a Mexican-American buffalo hunter who returns home, only to have his beloved horse stolen by a powerful bandit, Chuy Medina (John Saxon) with the help of the bandit's girlfriend, Trini (Anjanette Comer) in the border town of Ojo Prieto.
