I just finished reading Killing Floor myself and discovered to my horror that Lee Child is not exactly a native Latin speaker apparently, though he uses a point in Latin grammar as a major plot point. Unfortunately the "grammar" is completely wrong, so it could elide a derisive snigger from the cognoscenti.
