Padmavati Temple [1] is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Padmavati (Alamelu Manga), the consort of Venkateshvara.The temple is situated in Tiruchanur area of Tirupati city in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, India.
The deity is referred to as 'Balaji' by North Indians. The scriptures state that Venkateshwara is the saviour of all suffering people in the Kali Yuga. [28] In the 12th century, Ramanuja visited Tirupati to settle a dispute that had arisen between the Shaivites and Vaishnavites regarding the nature of the deity set up in the Tirumala temple. [29]
Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala, also known as Tirupati Balaji Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the hills of Tirumala at Tirupati in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), headquartered at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh state of India, is the official trust which managing all the activities of main temple at Tirumala, the Venkateswara Temple, and numerous other temples under TTD in Tirupati, across India and all around the world.
As of 30 September 2022, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the governing body of the temple, had fixed deposits with several PSU and private banks amounting to over Rs 15,938 crore. [ 13 ] [ 14 ] The gold deposits made by the Devasthanams in banks have also now increased rapidly from 7.3 tonnes in 2019 to 10.25 tonnes.
