[1] She was the daughter of Johanna Caroline, née Spaenhauer, and Gustav Adolph Oenicke, and had two older siblings, sister Wilhelmine Amalie Oenicke (*1804) and brother Louis Theodor Oenicke (1814–1815), who died early.
