Arthur L. Doering, Jr. (November 4, 1915 – November 5, 1988) was a golfer who played in PGA Tour events from the 1930s through the 1960s. Doering was a member of the golf team and the Class of 1940 at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He is a member of the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame. Doering turned professional in 1945.
William Arthur "Art" Stickney (May 25, 1879 – September 12, 1944) was an American golfer who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics. In 1904 he was part of the American team which won the silver medal.

It was well received, and has proven continuously popular since, being available in a modern, unabridged edition from Arcturus Publishers (2010). Park's second book, The Art of Putting, was published in 1920.
Before the start of the Official World Golf Ranking in 1986, unofficial end of year world golf rankings were published by Mark McCormack in his World of Professional Golf annual from 1968 to 1985. McCormack's rankings listed Jack Nicklaus as the number one from 1968 to 1977, Tom Watson from 1978 to 1982 and Seve Ballesteros from 1983 to 1985.
