South Dakota Highway 17 (SD 17) is a 1-mile-long (1.6 km) state highway in southeastern South Dakota, United States. It runs along the eastern edge of Lennox . SD 17 formerly continued south to what is now SD 46 near Centerville , and north to SD 42 west of Sioux Falls .
It serves the Haverhill/Reading Line. It is located at Lincoln and High Streets on the western fringe of Reading's central business district. The station's historic depot building was built in 1870 by the Boston and Maine Railroad. The station was the terminus of the line from 1959 until the re-extension to Haverhill station in 1979.
Reading Southern station closed on 6 September 1965 and all North Downs Line services were diverted to platform 4a at the main Reading station thereafter. Platform 4b at Reading opened in May 1975.
