Mahidpur City takes its name from Raja Maheda Bhil, who was the founder of Mahidpur. [1] The modern town of Mahidpur is situated on the bank of river Shipra. It is located in the Malwa region. At present, the town is a tehsil place of Ujjain district. Several chalcolithic remains have been excavated in this town.
