The Courtland Flats are an apartment building on Court Street in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States.A brick building constructed in 1902, [2] it was the first Second Renaissance Revival apartment building to be constructed in the city's downtown.
The 16-story building was designed by the Cincinnati architectural firm Elzner & Anderson and was named for its primary financial investor, Melville E. Ingalls. The building was considered a daring engineering feat at the time, but its success contributed to the acceptance of concrete construction in high-rise buildings in the United States.
The Ascent at Roebling's Bridge is a residential building in Covington, Kentucky, United States, in the greater Cincinnati area. Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the building sits along the Ohio River across from the Roebling Suspension Bridge. It was commissioned in 2004 and was completed in March 2008 at a cost of approximately $50 million.
