Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) (Urdu: علامہ اقبال میڈیکل کالج) is a public medical college in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is widely regarded as one of the best medical institutions of the country. Established in 1975, it is a public school of medicine, nursing, and allied health sciences.
Quaid-i-Azam Campus: also known as the new campus, is named after the founder of Pakistan and is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) to the south of the Allama Iqbal Campus. Spread over an area of 1,800 acres (7 km 2). The campus is the centre of academic and administrative activities of the university.
The college was established with the name Center for Computer Science in 1988. It was situated in the Center for Solid State Physics on the University of the Punjab's new campus. The first program offered was a year-long, two-semester postgraduate diploma for which 24 students were registered. This program was offered until 2000.
The main building of the college was initially located at katchery road [9] known as Allama Iqbal Campus [10] (Old Campus) near Oriental College and Government College, Lahore.
