The Fred George Basin Greenway is a Greenway park project in northwestern Tallahassee, Florida, covering 175 acres (71 ha), including Fred George Sink [1] that runs alongside Fred George Road near Capital Circle. Under development as a public park, it is planned to have hiking trails and other low-impact recreation opportunities.
The northern terminus is at a trailhead along Golden Gate Parkway across from Freedom Park. From the trailhead, two parallel trails head south, which eventually merge. A short connection west connects the trail to the Naples Zoo. The main trail continues south and connects with an almost half-mile unpaved loop before crossing the Gordon River.
Seagrove Beach is recognized locally as an independent neighborhood, but its mailing address is Santa Rosa Beach. About 2 miles (3.2 km) to the east of the eastern terminus of the Point Washington State Forest segment of SR 30A, and 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Hollywood Beach (not to be confused with the city of Hollywood between Miami and Fort Lauderdale), US 98 and (unsigned) SR 30 separate.
The greenway passes alongside Cleveland High School, and about 300 yards (270 m) later crosses Mouse Creek again. The greenway enters a wooded area, and about 0.6 miles (0.97 km) later enters Tinsley Park, and turns sharp to the northeast. About 0.25 miles (0.40 km) mile later, the greenway turns sharp north again and crosses Mouse Creek.
