The University Place School District #83, located in University Place, Washington, between Tacoma and Puget Sound, was officially established on November 2, 1895. The school opened in 1957 as a joint junior-senior high school at the corner of 40th and Grandview. In 1962, a high school facility was built about 500 yards east of the junior high that then extended up 40th Street. This separated the schools from 8th-9th grade for the junior high and 10th-12th grade for the senior high school.

Mannheim School District 83 (D83) is a school district headquartered in Franklin Park, Illinois. It serves Franklin Park, Melrose Park, and Northlake. [2] The school district was established in 1869 as a wooden building at the corner of Grand Avenue and Mannheim Road. [3] Mannheim was a small town that was annexed into Franklin Park in the 1890s.
