State Highway Loop 500. Loop 500 is located in Shelby County. It runs from US 96 northwest of Center to SH 7 southwest of Center. Loop 500 was designated on April 29, 1971, as a loop off SH 7 in Center. On August 26, 2010, the northern section was extended west 2.9 miles (4.7 km) to US 96 northwest of Center.
Rec. Texas state highways are a network of highways owned and maintained by the U.S. state of Texas. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is the state agency responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the system. Texas has the largest state highway system, followed closely by North Carolina's state highway system.
The initial system included 22 state highways, many of which followed pre-existing trails and trade routes. Over the years, the system has expanded significantly, reflecting the growth and changing needs of Texas. As of 2021, the total length of the 246 currently in-service highways with unique assigned numbers is 14,092.7 miles (22,680.0 km).
Loop 109 is located in Elgin. Loop 109 was designated on August 2, 1943, as a loop off SH 20/SH 95 in Elgin with a connection from SH 95 north of town to old SH 20. The route was formerly SH 20 (now US 290) before it was rerouted. On October 25, 1990, a 0.6-mile (0.97 km) section in Elgin was transferred to FM 1100.

September 26, 1939 [17] –present. Loop 11 (Loop 11), also known locally as Beverly Loop, is located in northwestern Wichita Falls. Loop 11 begins at an intersection with Bus. US 277 (Bus. US 277, Seymour Highway), about three miles (4.8 km) west of downtown. The road continues south of here as Beverly Drive.
State Highway Loop 223. Loop 223 is a 1.161 miles (1.868 km) state highway loop in McDade, that forms a northern loop off of U.S. Route 290 (US 290) and connects US 290 and Farm to Market Road 2336 with US 290. Loop 223 was designated on March 29, 1949, on the current route.
