The quokka (/ ˈ k w ɒ k ə /) (Setonix brachyurus) [4] is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. It is the only member of the genus Setonix. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal. [5] The quokka's range is a small area of southwestern Australia.
The animals had stayed only on the granite part, which covers a third of the island, and there had not been enough food to sustain them. [38] In 2017, four animals were translocated as a temporary trial from Bald Island to Middle Island, a 10.4 km 2 (4.0 sq mi) island in the Recherche Archipelago. Conservation efforts have grown an initial wild population of 30–40 to over 100. [3] All species of Potorous are well within the "critical weight range" for mammals in Australia, those weighing from 35 to 4,200 grams (0.077 to 9.3 lb; 1.2 to 150 oz) whose trajectory was toward decline or extinction during British settlement.
The last officially accepted wild cougar kills in both Virginia and West Virginia were in the 1880s and the animal – eastern cougar, or mountain lion, puma or panther (Puma concolor couguar) – was considered totally exterminated in West Virginia by 1900.

Most dasyurids are roughly the size of mice, but a few species are much larger. The smallest species is the Pilbara ningaui, which is from 4.6 to 5.7 cm (1.8 to 2.2 in) in length, and weighs just 2 to 9 g (0.07 to 0.3 oz), while the largest, the Tasmanian devil, is 57 to 65 cm (22 to 26 in) long, and weighs from 6 to 8 kg (13 to 18 lb).

Grant (1869–1877), the series followed Secret Service agents James West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin) as they foiled the plans of megalomaniacal villains to take over part or all of the United ...
This has led to the reclassification of 33 wild species as farm animals. [9] As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, approximately 20,000 wildlife farms have been shut-down in China. In the preceding years, the Chinese government had been promoting and incentivizing the development of the wildlife farming industry, which was valued as 520bn yuan ...
