Beginning of the Great Blue Heron biking trail in the park. Fishers will find bass, bream, catfish, and crappie in the lake's shallow waters. The park offers 29 campsites (4 class A, 22 Class B, and 3 tent sites), but does not contain any other types of cabin or lodging. [3] A pavilion with restrooms is available near the campsites.

On August 7, the Athens Arch is dedicated by the Athens Superintendent of Schools at Athens High School. The arch commemorates the history of the Huron Potawatomi and the cordial relations between the tribe and the town of Athens, Michigan. 2005 – The tribe constructs its first group of single family, energy-efficient homes on the Reservation.
Lakeport State Park is a public recreation area on the shores of Lake Huron in St. Clair County, Michigan. The state park consists of two units on either side of the community of Lakeport within Burtchville Township. Two campgrounds, beachfront, and camp store are on the north side, and a picnic area and beachfront are on the south side. [2]
