The Royal Albert Dock [1] is a complex of dock buildings and warehouses in Liverpool, England.Designed by Jesse Hartley and Philip Hardwick, it was opened in 1846, and was the first structure in Britain to be built from cast iron, brick and stone, with no structural wood.

Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City is a former UNESCO designated World Heritage Site in Liverpool, England, that comprised six locations in the city centre including the Pier Head, Albert Dock and William Brown Street, [1] and many of the city's most famous landmarks.
The Piermaster's House is a 19th-century Grade II listed building located within the Albert Dock in Liverpool, England. Built in 1852 to house the piermaster and his family the building now serves as part of the Museum of Liverpool showcasing a 1940s wartime interior. [1] [2] In 2019 it welcomed 89,140 visitors. [3]
It is part of National Museums Liverpool and an Anchor Point of ERIH, The European Route of Industrial Heritage. It opened for a trial season in 1980 before fully opening in 1984 and expanding in 1986. The museum occupies warehouse block D at the Albert Dock, along with the Piermaster's House, Canning Half Tide Dock and Canning Graving Docks. [2]
