Club Deportivo Universidad Católica, known as Universidad Católica, is a professional football club based in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 1937 they play in the Primera División, the top flight of Chilean football. The team has played its home games at Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo since 1988.
The club's foundation was in 1908. Even though the sports activities in the university began years before, the idea from Raúl Agüero in 1925 to gather sports activities from the university under the same name was the beginning of the formation of what became the Club Deportivo Universidad Católica.
