Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) is the agency in charge of boats, ferries operations and water transportation in Lagos state. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The agency provide alternative to escaping Lagos traffic by overseeing water transport. [ 3 ]
Lagferry works in conjunction with Lagos State Waterways Authority, National Inland Waterways Authority and Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency. Besides Lagferry, other private ferry operators also use modern ferry boats to provide commercial transport services between Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Apapa and Victoria Island. [7] [8]
