When emails go missing in AOL Mail, it's often due to a few simple things; either the message is in the wrong folder, your third-party mail client's settings, or your account was deactivated due to inactivity. Check your other folders. The first thing place to check if you're missing mail is to check your other folders.
If your Mail settings don't have Rich Text or HTML enabled, you could have problems with viewing images in forwarded emails. These settings can be enabled from the Mail Settings page. Send image as an attachment: If you've sent an image in an email, but your recipient didn't receive it there may have been a problem with the way the file was sent.
Take control of where you'll end up after deleting or moving a message in AOL Mail. Choose to go back to the original folder, the next message, or the previous message after moving the email. 1. Click the Setting icon. 2. Click More Settings. 2. Click Viewing email. 3. Under "After moving a message," choose the option you want.
3. Click the Down arrow, next to "Send-only email address." 4. Click Add. 5. Enter the send-only email address. 6. Click Verify. 7. Open the email and follow the instructions to verify the address. - It might take a while until the send-only address can be used.

Change any of the following settings, then click Save to finalize your selection: • Inbox Style Select what type of inbox you want. • Mail Away Message Create and enable away messages. • Contacts Choose how you want your Contacts displayed and sorted. • New Mail Select the sound you want played when new email arrives.

If you can't see the image, make sure your browser preferences are set to display images and try again. Alternatively, you can listen to the image challenge by clicking on the audio icon.
