Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) is a public engineering university in Bangladesh, located at Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka. Government of Bangladesh established MIST in 1998 for providing B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil. and PhD degrees in engineering. [2] MIST is the only engineering university of the Ministry of Defence of Bangladesh.
It is the first science and technology university in northern Bangladesh. Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University is named after prominent political leader and social activist Hajee Mohammad Danesh to honor his legacy as a champion of education, social progress, and rural development in northern Bangladesh.
