Midway Music Hall is a nightclub and live music venue located in South Edmonton, Canada. The mega club hosts various events such as concerts, DJ's, and live music events. [1] The venue has hosted global artists such as the Backstreet Boys, JoJo, Lil Pump, Method Man, Pauly D, Redman, and many others. [2]
The festival started out -- or grew out of -- the Up + Downtown Music Festival, which ran annually from 2013 to 2019. [2] In 2020, Ryan Rathjen, a radio host on CJSR-FM, became executive director of the festival, and led its rebranding in an attempt to make the festival more inclusive and collaborative.
The club was started by Edmonton musicians Terry Hawkeye, Zen and Ray Magus, Ron Repka, Garry Nelson, Ken Chaney and Neil Gunn. The original club moved two times before closing in 1967. In 1973 the Edmonton Jazz Society was founded and carried on the Yardbird Suite at the current location of 11 Tommy Banks Way.

The Edmonton Folk Music Festival (EFMF) is an annual four-day outdoor music event held the second weekend of August in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, established in 1980 by Don Whalen. [1] and a core group of volunteers. The festival continues to draw many people from around the world as both spectators and performers.
The Jubilee is home to the Edmonton Opera, Ukrainian Shumka Dancers and the Alberta Ballet. In addition to opera, ballet, and dance performances, for many years it has hosted Broadway shows, stand-up comedians, theatre productions, recording artists , concert bands, orchestras, cultural festivals, and awards ceremonies.
