My own dealer has my car registered on the Great KIA Computer in the sky, and I can call my Service Writer any time and get any info on my car that there is. He knows me by name, and I don't even have to give him my Vin number. With in seconds, he can tell me if I have any outstanding updates, recalls, or if I need an oil change.
I took the car into the dealer for a service, and dicussed this with them, they told me that the fuse marked in blue in my image below with a 15amp fuse is for the tow hitch harness, it is unmarked in the fuse diagram (from my original post). There have been 'program improvement' campaigns on a number of 2015 Kia and Hyundai models, which involve the knock sensor, but that's a software program which does not touch it physically. So replacing the knock sensor under recall for any Theta engine is a brand new one to me.

The vin numbers I gave you are correct and the part number you gave is correct but it's my understanding that if the exact part number is found that contains three letters after the part number it will be a plug and play. Otherwise it will need programmed by KIA. 95400-C6050 CAN (XXX). (where as CAN XXX represents the optional equipment).
Last year, when we bought the Sportage, I got the insurance paperwork from State Farm and looked at the last 6 from the VIN. It appeared they used the VIN from the Soul. I went out to the Sportage to get the correct VIN and the last 6 matched. I went over to the Soul and, lo and behold, both vehicles have the same last 6 (actual serial number).
KIA issued a recall, #097 for defective OC mat sensors for 2006-2009 RIO's in JULY 2012. All you have to do is call KIA with your VIN and see if there are any open recalls on your vehicle.
