CMS-01 (formerly known as GSAT-12R [6]) is a communication satellite designed and developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This satellite is a replacement of the aging GSAT-12 at 83.0° E. [ 7 ] This satellite was successfully launched by PSLV -C50 launch vehicle on 17 December 2020 at 10:11 UTC .
It is used for Very-small-aperture terminal (VSAT) networks, television uplinks, digital satellite news gathering, Direct-broadcast satellite (DTH) services and other communication systems. This is the 41st communication satellite launched by ISRO and the 24th launch of ISRO satellite by Arianespace. [5] [3] [6]
The Megha-Tropiques satellite for climate research launched along with three microsatellites: SRMSAT, the remote sensing satellite Jugnu and the VesselSat-1 to locate ships on high seas. [22] [23] 18 26 April 2012 PSLV-XL: C19 Success Radar Imaging Satellite-1 (RISAT-1) launched. [24] 19 9 September 2012 PSLV-CA: C21 Success ISRO's 100th ...
The X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) is a ISRO space observatory to study polarization of cosmic X-rays. It was launched on 1 January 2024 on a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle ( PSLV-C58 ). [ 13 ] [ 14 ] XPoSat will study the 50 brightest known sources in the universe, including pulsars , black hole X-ray binaries , active galactic nuclei ...
This was the first developmental flight of the GSLV Mk.I featuring Russian cryogenic engine KVD-1.It was used to place an experimental satellite GSAT-1 into the orbit. . However, due to sub-optimal performance and lack of fuel the vehicle did not achieve the intended orbit and the satellite had to maneuver itself using onboard fuel to correct the sho
The 135 kg EOS 02, an Earth observation satellite and the 8 kg AzaadiSAT CubeSat. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] Due to sensor failure coupled with shortcomings of onboard software, the stage as well as the two satellite payloads were injected into an unstable transatmospheric Earth orbit measuring 356×76 km and subsequently destroyed upon reentry.
SpaDeX or Space Docking Experiment is a twin satellite mission developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to mature and demonstrate technologies related to orbital rendezvous, docking, formation flying, which will have future applications in areas such as human spaceflight, in-space satellite servicing and other proximity operations.
The spacecraft was launched on the third and final test flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle .The launch was postponded from August 15 [2] and finally took place on August 16, 2024. [ 3 ] Three days after launch on August 19, the EIOR instrument sent back its first data, captureing high-resolution thermal images of pune city and of the ...
