P2: The Big Hearted Bad Guy (stylized in all uppercase; also known as Paradise 2) is the third studio album by South African rapper A-Reece released on 20 October 2023 by Revenge Club Records, it is the sequel to his 2016 studio album Paradise. [1]
The track was A-listed by BBC Radio One and, at one stage, was getting 26 plays a week. In 1996, it was re-released and this time even more successful. Featured vocalist on the track, Deborah Anderson's vocals were recorded at London's Eden studio on to Dat from which Reece then sampled the vocals. [4]
Reece had been warned and escaped but his wife, Florence, and their children were terrorized. That night, after the men had gone, Florence wrote the lyrics to "Which Side Are You On?" on a calendar that hung in their kitchen. She took the melody from a traditional Baptist hymn, "Lay the Lily Low", or the traditional ballad "Jack Munro". [1]
