Former Company A, 3rd Infantry Regiment, reorganized 1920-08-02 in the Pennsylvania National Guard at Philadelphia as Company A, 3rd Infantry; Federally recognized 1920-08-07. Reorganized and re-designated 1921-04-01 as the Howitzer Company, 111th Infantry, an element of the 28th Division.
The bulk of the 227th Engineer Company's heavy engineering equipment which is located in the Hawaii Army National Guard Pearl City complex on Oahu. A combat engineering detachment is situated in the community of Keaau on the island of Hawaii. The brigade's 1st Battalion, 487th Field Artillery can be found in Wahiawa in Central Oahu.

In 1883, the Minnesota National Guard organized a new Stillwater unit, Company K, 1st Infantry Regiment. This unit served in the Philippines during the Spanish–American War when the regiment was federalized as the 13th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry. [3] In 1912, Company K, 1st Infantry Regiment was re-designated Company K, 3rd Infantry Regiment.
The 1st Battalion, 157th Infantry Regiment (Mountain) is also a unit of the Colorado Army National Guard, assigned to the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), a separate IBCT. However, this unit is not lineally related to the former 157th Infantry or the current 157th Field Artillery, being newly constituted in 2007.
