Arches National Park is a national park of the United States in eastern Utah. The park is adjacent to the Colorado River , 4 mi (6 km) north of Moab, Utah . The park contains more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches , including the well-known Delicate Arch , which constitute the highest density of natural arches in the world.

Between Moab and Castle Valley, the Colorado River, and indirectly, SR-128, form the southern boundary of Arches National Park. Arches National Park is so named because of over 2000 natural arches inside park boundaries. [9] While the highway does offer views of several features in the park, there is no park access along the highway. [10]
The park is located east of U.S. Route 191 and west of Arches National Park, and covers 6,500 acres (26 km 2).The park contains the Dalton Wells Quarry, which have yielded remains of dinosaurs that have advanced understanding of paleontology, such as those of the giant dromaeosaur dinosaur Utahraptor ostrommaysi.
